Synchromesh Wines Pinot Noir Reserve Palo Solara Vineyard 2012

East Kelowna Slopes, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Palo Solara Vineyard is on a cool, sustainably farmed slope in East Kelowna. For this reserve bottling (two barrels worth) they utilized 100 percent whole bunch fermentation and wild yeast. Benefitting from a decant (I opened the day before tasting) this savoury cherry and perfumed raspberry pinot sneaks up on you, so give it time to work its magic. Finessed raspberry, black cherry, subtle earthy branch and lightly smoked stone flow along fine grained, lightly grippy tannins, elevated with perfumed floral cherry blossoms and anchored with finely rasped spices. Layers of minerality weave across orchard cherries throughout, to a lingering, softly spiced/smoked finish.Tasted: 13 July 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
