Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA near 53/47 split of zinfandel/shiraz make up this round, mouth filling and rich red, a unique blend for the Okanagan. Eighteen months in French and American oak amps up the intensity while softening the mouthfeel - this is as plush and velvety as can be. Fortunately there is a nice spike of raspberry piquancy to lift the weight. Dollops of blackberry jam, ripe cherries, cloves, vanilla and dark chocolate pull right through to the sort if sticky, spiced finish.
