Sandhill Viognier Osprey Ridge Vineyard 2014

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis viognier, from the Southern Okanagan's Osprey Vineyard, veers to the lean and linear side of the spectrum, with hints of tropical fruit peeking out from a steel-built, tart wine. Herbal wild flowers, tangerine and white peach on the nose. The medium bodied palate carries tart gooseberry, spring apricot, aged blossoms and yellow apple, with very subtle jasmine and ginger spicing on the tart, slightly hot finish. If you're looking for a quieter version of the flamboyant viognier grape, look no further. Pour with Thai green curries or vegetarian Chinese dishes.Tasted: 05 July 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
