Veneto, ItalyThis 70/25/5 blend of corvina/rondinella/molinara spends time in large format Slavonian oak barrels and smaller casks. Heady dark florals, smoked meats and ample tar on the nose. Medium bodied, with dried and fresh black cherry, worn leather, earthy barnyard, faint florals, dark plum and finely rasped spice. Tannins tend to dryness at the finish along with the return to tarriness.
