Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay Vintner's Reserve 2013
California, United StatesOften underestimated by the ill-informed KJ's calling card chardonnay is in a good space in 2013 some thirty years down the road from vintage one in 1983. KJ’s strength is the sheer size of coastal chardonnay vineyards they own in California and the fruit selection available to chief winemaker Randy Ullom. Forget the residual sugar stories this wine has evolved into one of the tastiest California chardonnays in its price range. Look for a creamy, ripe fruit nose, the balancing off of sugar and acidity and a touch of lees pulls it all together with a fresh, generous finish.Tasted: 02 July 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $22.00 | 750ml | fine wine stores |
