Rio Negro, Patagonia, ArgentinaNoemia de Patagonia A Lisa hails from Mainque, Valle Medio in Rio Negro. It is a 90/9/1 blend of biodynamic malbec/merlot with a touch of petit verdot that is both estate grown on a patch of limestone and purchased from nearby vineyards. Freshness permeates this red with only 13.5 percent alcohol. Long days of light in the summer compensate for the wind and cool temperatures bring out the floral aspects to lift the mid-palate flavours. The tannins are soft here and almost sweet. Impressive already and yet only a baby. Steak anyone?Tasted: 24 July 2015Tasted by: Prices:
Rio Negro, Patagonia, ArgentinaThis pristine malbec is accompanied by ten percent merlot and one percent petit verdot, resulting in an elegant, poised red with perfumed, black cherry, dried strawberry, lilies and fleshy plum jam notes. Acids are tight and shining, and the juicy finish is spiced and lengthy, with a lingering salty orange rind note. From the far ends of the wine growing realm, in Patagonia.Tasted: 15 October 2014Tasted by: Prices:
