Barossa Valley, South Australia, AustraliaThis wine is dedicated to one of Yalumba's key employees, past or present, each year, and represents the best cabernet sauvignon / shiraz blend of the vintage. In 2010, global communicator Jane Ferrari was named Signatory, and this exemplary wine matches her talents and energy. Dusky cassis, dried cassis, anise, tobacco and fragrant cedar are drawn through lengthy, firmly structured, fine grained tannins. Supple red currant, red and black cherry and light mint mingle on the mid palate before a very lengthy black cherry finish. Very elegant and while easily cellerable for 10 more years, also able to drink now. It has already knit well in French, American and Hungarian oak for 18 months followed by two more years in bottle before release.
