Weingut Bründlmayer Kamptaler Terrassen Grüner Veltliner 2009

Kamptal, Niederösterreich, Weinland Österreich, AustriaNow with a bit of age (and fortunately a vintage still on our shelves), this wine shows Brundlmayer’s strength in consistently crafting complex and mineral-driven grüner veltliner, built to age. Honey, dried pear and whiffs of petrol on the nose. The fuller palate carries stony weight along with baked pear and apple, white blossoms, pine nuts, wild honey, herbal grasses, lemon, white grapefruit and white pepper, finishing with warming alpine herbs. Acidity is holding, and the length lingering. Drinking very well now - in its youth this can be quite firm and tight. Pour with herb, fennel and white wine-laced moules frites.Tasted: 01 June 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
