Symphony Vineyard 100% Saanich Grown Pinot Gris 2014

Saanich Peninsula, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, CanadaAt first glance this blush peach hued pinot gris could be mistaken for a rosé, so coloured the wine after 36 hours of skin contact. Subtle pear and thorny herbs are the opener to a crisp, high acid palate of prickly pear, grapefruit, white peach, under ripe melon and apple, with a subtle sheen of phenolic to temper the acidity. Pear skin trails on the finish. Bright and dry, this coastal white would suit fresh clams, mussels and sashimi.Tasted: 06 June 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
