Township 7 Cabernet Franc Rock Pocket Vineyard 2012
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis cabernet franc sold only to wine club members is grown about one hour south of the winery in Oilver’s Rock Pocket Vineyard on Black Sage Bench. The nose is mix of red fruits with an intense peppery minty leafy undercurrent. The palate is similar with cedar, over roasted tomatoes, cassis with a fair bit of acidity pushing through the back end. Serve this with grilled meats or cheese to temper the rough edges.Tasted: 05 July 2015Tasted by: Prices:
Township 7 Cabernet Franc Rock Pocket Vineyard 2012
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis cabernet franc, exclusive to Township 7's wine club, is grown in Oliver's Rock Pocket Vineyard, a sun trap site on the Black Sage Bench. Cola, ripe cherry and sun warmed raspberries on the nose. The smoothed, full palate echoes the same, along with peppery spice, cool mint and soft cedar wood notes. Tannins are supple and the cola scented, cocoa textured wine persistent, ending with a bittersweet chocolate finish. A gentler, ripe cabernet franc, welcoming pairing with lamb meatballs.Tasted: 21 May 2015Tasted by: Prices:
