Paolo Scavino Barolo 2007
Castiglione Falletto, Cuneo, Piedmont, ItalyPaolo Scavino’s introductory Barolo is all about elegance and perfume as it begins its long journey to pinot noir country, or at least an old age demeanour that might suggest it could be pinot. The nose is floral, with reserved red fruit flavours and truffle before the generous vintage adds bits of tar and rich but polished tannins before its long elegant backend kicks in. Cellar through 2017 or serve now with meaty dishes. A delicious bottle.Tasted: 26 May 2015Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:QC | $50.00 | 750ml | SAQ |
