Vin de Pays du Var, Vin de Pays de Provence, Vin de Pays d'Oc, Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceFragrant ripe raspberry, cherry jam forest and wet moss notes open this pinot noir, from negotiant powerhouse Maison Louis Latour. The departmental Var IGP has replaced the previous Vin de Pays du Var denomination on the southern coast of France. The promising nose doesn't extend through to the finish. Ripe raspberry and bing cherry lead the clipped palate, along with tight tannins and rhubarb tartness.
