La Valentina Spelt 2010
Abruzzo, ItalyFrom the hills overlooking Spoltore, in Abruzzo comes this herbal, bucolic montepulciano. Mulberry, dark plum and black liquorice pervades from first whiff to the finish. The fresh palate carries espresso, bitter black cherry, anise, earth and salt, ending with high toned balsamic tartness. Tannins are ragged and angular, and best matched to roast beef or lamb and polenta.Tasted: 26 May 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $34.79 | 750ml | speculative listing - International Cellars |
