Vinho Verde, Northern Portugal, PortugalThe current Vinho Verde selection is sadly wanting in BC but don’t dismiss a wine that has been here forever: Casal Garcia. A slight frizzante note pops the palate of this introductory Vinho Verde that comes with fresh citrus blossoms, a green apple nose and just a whiff of lees. The almost watery attack is equally fresh with light lemon, lees, quince, and green apple. The price is a bargain.
