Garage Wine Co. Lot 44 Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

Valle del Maipo, Region del Valle Central, ChileCanadian Derek Mossman has been toiling in Chile for a long time now but we are just getting to see some of his wines in Canada, although not in BC yet. The cabernet is unfined and unfiltered and is ferment naturally with native yeasts in open-top fermenters. Look for sappy, cassis, pepper and black olive nose with cedar, vanilla and meaty, leather aromas. Ripe, round, suave, juicy palate with light tannins and more coffee, black pepper, black olive, black berry, leather, bay and tea flavours. Well-balanced with solid fruit and finesse. Drink now - 5 years. There’s 15 percent cabernet franc in the mix. Steak is the ticket here.Tasted: 22 April 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
