Chateau Beychevelle 2010
Haut-Médoc, Médoc, Bordeaux, FranceSmoked stone, wild herbs and white pepper marked this vintage making it an alluring and complex pour. Deep black cherry, ripe raspberry, some earthy stem savouriness and light smoked stone. Youthful raspberry, fine grained white pepper and black pepper add characterful charm, and while the young tannins are fine, they are currently a touch ragged. Time will heal - this wine has power enough for two decades. An herbal, savoury bent through the lengthy, smoked stone finish.
