Santa Rosa, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaDense, spicy, ripe black and cola fruit aromas leap out of the glass. The compact palate surprises with freshness - bright, nimble black and blue fruit, finely rasped pepper and chocolate tannins. A hint of dark cocoa and dried figs close out the lingering finish. Drinking very well now (supple mole pork tenderloin would be killer), but will continue to knit over three to five years' time.Tasted: 26 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:

Santa Rosa, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe best yet from Zuccardi this 100 percent tempranillo grown at 620 metres opens with an impressive cherry/spiced plum nose. The wine is matured in French and American oak for twelve months and bottled aged one year before release. The entry is juicy and round with the more temperate tannins you expect from tempranillo. The palate is awash in savoury, peppery, liquorice and red fruit flavours with a warm spicy finish. Impressive now but will age easily for five years. Try this now with grilled lamb chops. Super value.Tasted: 27 October 2014Tasted by: Prices:
