Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandIn some markets this goes by its original name, The King's Bastard Chardonnay, but that wouldn't fly in Canada, hence, King's Legacy. Fifty percent whole bunch press before time in large French oak puncheons (half new wood) for lees contact yields this creamy white. Cream, pineapple, melon, stone and light toast aromas. The generous palate carries spiced baked apple, nuts, lees, white florals, ripe melon and butter, with lemon curd acidity.
