Le Clos du Tue-Boeuf La Butte 2013
Touraine, Loire, FranceThierry and his older brother Jean-Marie farm the organic and biodynamic vines on their forest-surrounded family estate Le Clos du Tue-Boeuf in the village of Les Montils in Touraine. This 100 percent gamay is whole cluster fermented, and opens with welcoming perfumed red currant, raspberry and fine white pepper. The juicy, light bodied palate refreshes with tart cranberry, perfumed tayberry and youthful cherry, carried with lissom, fine grained tannin and finishing with a sweep of wild strawberry jam and snap of pink grapefruit. Easy and affable, particularly with sausages and lentils.Tasted: 23 March 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:BC | $27.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Racine Wine Imports |
