Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyThe jump from La Jara's silver label to gold label takes you from Brut to Extra Dry and a notch more dosage (12-17 g/L) as a result. There’s a little more oomph to the fruit here than the Brut, verging into honeyed stone fruits. There's also more richness and fruit density to carry the underlying sweetness nicely. Sometimes residual sugar is about approachability, but that's not the case here. It's integral to this wine, and it's easy to taste why Extra Dry is the classic Prosecco style. Excellent value; certified organic and vegan friendly.Tasted: 02 November 2020Tasted by: Prices:

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyIf you think all Prosecco is sweet, think again. La Jara is crisp, bright and zesty, with peachy, green apple, floral overtones but all in balance. Although it’s referred to as classic Extra Dry it is in fact much closer to Brut dryness. Italians are the master of bitterness, and this hint of lime rind undercuts any inherent sweetness in this bottle. Ready to drink on a warm patio and just for an extra bonus this 11.5 percent fizz is certified organic. Good value and vegan rated.Tasted: 31 July 2018Tasted by: Prices:

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyCrisp, bright and zesty, with white peach, green apple and lacings of floral. This is the classic Extra Dry category of Prosecco, but much more on the Brut (drier) end. Lime leaf brings a welcome bitter edge to counter the fruit. A lovely example, and - bonus - organic, all at an appealing 11.5 percent.Tasted: 29 November 2016Tasted by: Prices:

Treviso, Verona, Veneto, ItalyOn the drier side of Extra Dry this prosecco, grown organically, strikes me as more than interesting. Made from the glera grape you can expect to taste hints or orange throughout its green apple grapefruit flavours. The textures are creamy and just off-dry perfect for a savoury charcuterie plate.Tasted: 26 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:
