Columbia Valley, Washington, United StatesHigh up above the Missoula Flood Plain, the cool Evergreen Vineyard is dedicated only to white grape varieties, and the caliche and basalt soils certainly set off the ringing acidity. Even in the warm 2012 vintage, the lime pith cordial note sings, joined with green and yellow apple, ripe pear and delicate honeysuckle. Acid is crunchy and chalk laced, setting off the 10 g/l residual sugar, and finishing with a comfortable cushion of lychee and crystallized lime.
