Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaCoffee, strawberry, stewed rhubarb aromas with light reductive notes, celery salt, dried herbs and vanilla. Round, full, soft, juicy and elegant palate with more strawberry/coffee, vanilla, tobacco, resin, herb and tea flavours. A bit soupy but it is well made just a light bit of tannin on the finish. Again serve with a local piece of salmon.Tasted: 10 March 2015Tasted by: Prices:
Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaEstablished in 1985 by well known Aussie wine expert James Halliday, Coldstream Hills is one of Yarra Valley's best known wineries. This pinot is sourced from grapes in the Lower and Upper Yarra, and is partial whole bunch before seeing time in new and aged oak. Warmed cherries and subtle cedar wood spice on the nose. the medium bodied, supple palate teems with sour cherry, ripe raspberry, nutmeg and five spice. Cedarwood and lightly smoked oak frame the fruit and dominate the finish. Best enjoyed with pork dishes. Tasted: 04 February 2015Tasted by: Prices:
