Moorooduc Estate Robinson Pinot Noir 2012

Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, AustraliaKate McIntyre came back to her parents' Mornington Peninsula 20 acre wine estate in 2009 after a job at a bottle shop post-university and exposure to fine wines led to completion of her MW. Practicing lutte raisonnée, they utilize wild yeast, whole bunch press and natural MLF to translate the specifics of site. This site, Robinson Vineyard pinot shows perfumed black cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry aromas which carry through to the finely textured, elegant palate. Pure-fruited with a gentle ripe cushioning, this has a beguiling floral rose prettiness throughout. Tannins are a touch gummy, finishing with black cherry perfume and finely rasped spice. Would be lovely with duck or cherry sauced pheasant.Tasted: 09 February 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
