Where the nose was somewhat dark and brooding, the palate is juicy and vibrant, with fleshy blackberry, cassis, eucalyptus, ripe cherry and bright cranberry tang, and savoury steak spice notes. Tannis are plush and the finish is lengthy, carrying through the minty eucalyptus note. A generous, approachable wine now, will deepen in tone with 5-10+ years. Pour now with beef wellington.
