Sinfonia Monastrell Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
Jumilla, Valencia and Murcia, SpainI'm not sure I would have considered blending monastrell or mourvèdre with cabernet sauvignon but it seems to work for this Jumilla, Spain red. Expect a fragrant cedar-y nose with floral, blueberry, cranberry fruit. The textures are soft if not soupy with a touch of acidity poking through but it seems to serve to freshen the back end. A solid red wine that frankly over delivers for the price and it's widely available as a new listing. Try this with grilled meats. Should be on a lot of restaurant lists. Good value stock up.Tasted: 03 January 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $15.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
