Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe malbec/syrah blend takes this out of the light rosé category and while its weighty, it is also sweet. It's a bit cleaner than last year and there is plenty of fruit which makes it very sip-able. It is best with food and in this case spicy food that will tame the sugar or vice versa to quiet the spice. Spicy barbecue ribs would be a fine match as would spicy pulled park sandwiches.
