Moraine Viognier 2013
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Moraine viognier was grown on, well, the remains of a moraine they call Anastasia vineyard. The attack is nose and is all mineral with a strong hint of apricots and citrus. The style is super fresh with mouth-watering flavours of orchard fruits, melon and some dried apricot. The finish is clean dry suggesting endless food pairings. The winery suggest roasted turkey, fish cakes, or even butternut squash soup. An impressive start for this all Naramata producer. Good value.Tasted: 01 January 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $16.50 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA stores, private liquor stores |
