Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHaywire’s annual release celebrates the Lunar New Year or in the case of 2015 – The Year of the Sheep. The mix is an odd combination of mostly gamay with a touch of syrah – a juicy, spicy affair with a dollop of sugar bound to keep its Asian audience happy. Look for a mix of cherry and strawberry notes on the nose and palate with an earthy peppery undercurrent.
