Famille Perrin Tavel 2013
Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceGrown over clay and limestone riddled with crumbly rocks and rolled pebbles. Perrin employs twelve hours of maceration in stainless steel followed by a cool 30 day ferment. Located on the right bank of the Rhône River in the department of the Gard. Tavel is thought to be the king rosé, certainly the style is richer than the norm. Look for a cherry, spicy, strawberry, earthy, light orange peel aromas. Fresh, round, elegant, dry palate with pomegranate, cherry, almond, licorice, earthy, green apple and tobacco flavours. Good finesse if a touch light and bitter. Fleshes out with food. The blend is cinsault, grenache and mourvèdre.Tasted: 14 January 2015Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $26.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
