Puerto Salinas Alicante Red Wine 2010
Alicante, Valencia and Murcia, SpainThe mix is mostly old vine monastrell with garnacha and cabernet sauvignon. The nose is intense with warm, dark black fruit aromas. The attack is warm, alcoholic with huge intensity. Pepper, blackberries, Christmas cake, earth and almost meaty, tar-like notes that mark the long palate. Even so there is a freshness, good acidity to help balance the finish. Very hedonistic.
