Loma Larga Rapsodia Unfiltered 2010
Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileWinemaker Cédric Nicolle mixes 50/30/20 syrah, cabernet franc and malbec the first two are fermented in rotating French oak barrels - 60 percent new and 40 percent second use before it spends 18 months before final blending and bottling. Look for intense black cherry, pepper, bramble, spicy and licorice on the nose with bits of orange and cedar. The attack is dry, fresh and elegant with light tannins and slightly tart acidity. Plum jam, black cherry, red fruits, licorice, orange and tobacco flavours with some cranberry and savoury aspects. Good finesse and fruit.
