Loma Larga Cabernet Franc Unfiltered 2010

Valle de Casablanca, Region de Aconcagua, ChileA five day cold soak led to a closed tanks ferment followed by ten days of post fermentation maceration. The result is an impressive red with very fine texture and weight with more fruit than leafy notes. It reminds me a bit of the very fine cabernet franc made at Valdivieso. The wine is aged in a 60/40 mix of new and used French oak for 20 months but you do not feel it. Love the juicy black fruit flavours with an appealing earthy undercurrent. Impressive length and power here. Serve with roasted meats.Tasted: 17 December 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
