Walker Bay, Overberg, South AfricaWe like this wine but its edgy herbaceous pinot notes will put some New World drinkers off who are more attracted to a richer, rounder, pinot noir style. The HR is a true cool climate expression offering the rooty, herbal sour cherry notes with bits of red currants celery salt, savoury, strawberry jam, smoky bacon with dried herbs. Dry, fresh, delicate and smooth palate with very light tannins.
