Dow's Old Tawny Port Aged 10 Years NV

Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, PortugalThe art of blending is at the heart of old Tawny ports. Selection and ageing is crucial and it takes plenty of experience to envision the final product. Aged in the old cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia Dow's boasts one of the largest stocks in oak casks in Oporto. The house style is notably drier than the competition but the Ten Year Old remains consistently soft and rich with a mellow, apricot, black cherry, caramel, steeped tea flavours that fade effortlessly into a long, spicy, delicate, refined finish. Open and pour throughout the holidays.Tasted: 13 December 2014Tasted by: Prices:
