Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceCote Mas is a subsidiary of Domaines Paul Mas, one of the main Estates in the South of France and a family who have been cultivating grapes in Languedoc since 1892. This GSM is splashed with the charismatic and intriguing carignan grape, adding to its lightly cured meats, black cherry, mustard seed and savoury herbal notes. Fresh and juicy on the palate, with fresh cherry fruit to work alongside the garrigue, herbal notes. Perfectly drinking now, especially alongside pork.Tasted: 27 December 2014Tasted by: Prices:
Languedoc, Sud de France, FranceIt's hard not to like this red blend from the Languedoc. Paul Mas has a common touch with inexpensive wines that leaves them with a certain amount of sophistication yet wide appeal. In this case the mix is classic Languedoc: grenache, syrah, carignan and mourvèdre and the aromas and flavours south of France garrigue black fruits cedar and smooth tannins. A perfect fall red for stews and casseroles or grilled meats or poultry. Fantastic value too. No wonder they call it Le Luxe Rural.Tasted: 21 September 2014Tasted by: Prices:
