Bodega Piedra Negra Alta Colección Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaThe Lurton cabernet sauvignon is all about understatement and elegance. Slightly reduced under screwcap it quickly cleans with some air in the glass revealing a nose red fruits, cassis and pepper. The palate is similar with hints of stony minerality mixing with ripe cabernet fruit flavours. The tannins are silky and soft helping the wines disappear down your throat. Delicious drinking but will improve in the bottle for a year or two. Try this with peppercorn steak.Tasted: 30 December 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $35.00 | 750ml | speculative listing - Stile Wines |
