Bella Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Oliver East Side Reserve 2013
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPart of Jay Drysdale's Reserves programming (as noted by the black label). We're tasting this four years along from first view, now with 58 months on the lees, and obviously a very different, more mature version of Oliver East Side. Chalky, fine lemon, lees wrap around a searing, sharp tight lemony core. Licks of butterscotch on the nose lead, and bitter lemon notes linger in the back end. This was from Cerqueira Vineyard, along Oliver's Black Sage Bench.Tasted: 23 October 2018Tasted by: Prices:
Bella Sparkling Blanc de Blancs Oliver East Side Reserve 2013
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFrom Cerqueira Vineyards along Oliver's Black Sage Bench, Bella's site specific labels seek to express a unique terroir by applying identical winemaking techniques to each wine made at Bella. In this case the one hundred percent chardonnay offers up a spare green apple, citrus, grassy nose with a hint of wet stone. Fresh and juicy with no sugar it's not for the timid but rather the adventurous sparkling wine hunter. Oysters anyone.Tasted: 13 December 2014Tasted by: Prices:
