Mt. Boucherie Family Reserve Gamay Noir 2012

Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThough Mt. Boucherie Family Estate Winery has been a constant fixture in West Kelowna, the grapes for this wine come from their Similkameen Vineyards in Cawston. Huge peppercorn, resin and sappy branch aromas lead off this assertive gamay. Dusky, brooding black cherry and black pepper on the palate, spiked with tart acidity and held together with slightly gummy, ripe tannins. Medium bodied, but ripe-fruited - no gamine gamay. Partner with roast pork or wild mushroom casserole. Tasted: 12 November 2014Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
