Sonoma Coast, Sonoma County, California, United StatesExpressive violets and blackberry blossoms on the nose, dried cassis, thorn, tobacco aromas. The maturing palate shows supple leather, dusky thornbush, cassis, anise, dried raspberry and a black cherry compote. Tannins are fine grained and a bit sticky, but cradle the medium bodied palate well. The ripe fruit has now mellowed with time into a supple, spicy sipper.
