Famille Perrin Vinsobres Les Cornuds 2011

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceLes Cornuds is some 40km north of Châteauneuf du Pape at the village of Vinsobres. The stony terraces here are particularly suited to syrah which dominates the blend. A long Indian summer save the 2011s and this juicy red is proof. Look for some floral notes, juicy blackberries, chocolate and a riff of garrigue. The syrah is fermented in wood the grenache in stainless steel. A bit of syrah is in wood for one year. Try this with grilled lamb chops.Tasted: 30 October 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
