Ribera del Duero, Castilla-Leon, SpainAt seven years of age this crianza is sitting on its sweet spot. Made from one hundred percent, old vine tempranillo grown over clay loam soils it spends a year in French oak casks. The nose and attack is surprisingly clean and fresh with pure tempranillo fruit dominating. Look for an enticing mix of ripe cherry fruit and menthol with bits of crushed leaves, tobacco and spice. The tannins are gone; it's ready to drink.
