LaStella Fortissimo 2011

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaBright spicy, tobacco leaf, black olive nose with coffee, cranberry, cassis and smoky aromas. The attack is dry, fresh and full with some youthful tannins followed by peppery, prune, coffee, roast bell pepper, black olive, cranberry, vanilla flavours with a hint of tomato paste. A cooler style red blend a la Tuscany that needs more time in the bottle to shed some tannin. Serve now with grilled meats. The blend is 70 percent merlot mixed with cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and sangiovese.Tasted: 12 August 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
