Fort Berens Merlot 2012

Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaLove the savoury dried herbs characters here in what is a measured balanced merlot of medium proportions. Look for fresh black and red cherry fruit on the nose and palate. The palate is medium weight the tannins subdued but there is just enough toast and caramel in the back end to add some richness from the wood. They make a mean smoked tomato apricot barbecue sauce at the winery and it's recommended with beef and this merlot.Tasted: 25 July 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
