Domaine Delaporte a Chavignol Sancerre Blanc 2012
Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceGrown on silex (silica) soils this sauvignon is a studied in fruit, balance and minerality. The fruit comes off more than two dozen vineyards blocks all of which makes for a crisp (aged in stainless steel) fruity, melon flavoured palate with flecks of tropical fruit and orange rind. A delicious if expensive Loire-style sauvignon blanc. Shellfish anyone?Tasted: 22 July 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $39.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
