Côtes du Roussillon Villages, Roussillon, Sud de France, FranceHuge peppery, black licorice, spicy, smoky, garrigues, black cherry, meaty, earthy aromas. Ripe, round, suave and rich with a bit of warmth. Intense black cherry jam, tobacco, licorice, vanilla, chocolate, white pepper, savoury, meaty, kirsch and dried thyme and rosemary flavours. Despite some warmth on the finish, this has intensity and balance with some finesse but some young tannins on the finish to dissipate. Roast lamb or sausages will be a fine match.
