Champagne Taittinger Brut Reserve NV

Champagne, FranceTaittinger has just under 300 hectares of vineyards across Champagne, giving it a plethora of vines to work with in all vintage conditions. This is drawn 40 crus in the Marne, Sézanne and Aube and with three years on the lees. The dosage is 9 g/l. In the NV blend the mix is approximately 40 percent chardonnay with some 60 percent split between pinot meunier and pinot noir. It's the high percentage of chardonnay, unique among the fervent competition in the NV range, that gives this label a leg up in finesse. Green apple, lemon, white florals, lemon verbena slide the palate, with a potent lip smacking lemon acidity on the sides and end (almost distractingly so). A precise, familiar and welcomed house style.Tasted: 09 December 2017Tasted by: Prices:
