Champagne Taittinger Brut Reserve NV

Champagne, FranceTaittinger has just under 300 hectares of vineyards across Champagne, giving it a plethora of vines to work with in all vintage conditions. In the NV blend the mix is normally 40 percent chardonnay with some 60 percent split between pinot meunier and pinot noir. It's the high percentage of chardonnay, unique among its competitors, that gives this label a leg up in finesse. Lightly smoked lemon, pith and peel in this fresh brut. Shearing crystalline lemon acidity, white flowers is offset with baked green apple, toast on a creamy palate. Very grippy finish cleans everything up. Impressive non-vintage brut champagne, year after year.Tasted: 05 December 2016Tasted by: Prices: BC 69.99 BCLS ON 63.00 LCBO Producer: Champagne TaittingerDistributors: Pacific Wine & Spirits Inc.
