Domaine Delaporte a Chavignol Sancerre Rouge 2012
Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceSancerre pinot noir is predictably delicate with emphasis juicy, fruity pinot noir. Expect a mix of red and black fruits with dried herbs and cinnamon spice poking through the back end. Expect some youthful tannin and more smoky fruit in the finish. Swordfish would be a fine match or try it with some goat cheese. The vines range in age from 21 to 40 years and some 70 percent are planted in clay mixed with flint the remainder is on limestone.
