Baillie-Grohman Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2011
Creston, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2011 is an 85/15 merlot/cabernet sauvignon mix with acidity and coolness you would expect in a cool tear. Black cherry flavours sit among a somewhat skinny frame flecked with cedar, spice and a touch of green tannins none of which is showing much integration at this point. The fruit is picked over a series of week from Harmony One Vineyards near Cawston in the south Similkameen Valley and aged in both seasoned and 30 percent new French oak barriques. Serve now with grilled steak or let it mature another year or two in bottle.
