Ferrari-Carano Middleridge Ranch Pinot Noir 2012

Anderson Valley, Mendocino County, California, United StatesAttractive spicy, peppery, tobacco leaf, strawberry jam nose with smoky, raspberry, worsteshire and vanilla aromas. Dry, fresh, juicy and tight but with elegance. Black cherry, smoky, vanilla, tea, tobacco, peppery, worsteshire, rhubarb and cocoa flavours combine in balance and finish with some light tannins still to shed. This needs two to three years to knock down some of its youthful oaky, chocolate notes. A riper, more consumer-friendly style of pinot but well made. Duck confit anyone?Tasted: 25 May 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
